Red Dead Redemption PC port might FINALLY be happening – WGB
That’s according to X user Tez2 who focuses heavily on reporting all things Rockstar. Tez2 noticed that Rockstar’s launcher site files had been updated with new marketing strings, much like how Rockstar promotes GTA V.
The new entry is called RDR_ProductPromotion_Intro_Body and reads: “Journey across the sprawling expanses of the American West and Mexico in Red Dead Redemption, and its Zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, now playable on PC.”
It looks like Rockstar is gearing up to release #RDR1 on PC. pic.twitter.com/2xMmpFIdCk

Rockstar re-released a slightly updated version of the game for PlayStation and Switch last year which I wasn’t overly impressed with. Slightly better resolution and upscaling made it look the best it ever has, but the £40 asking price was absurd for an old game with minimal improvements. Later on, Rockstar quietly added a 60FPS mode for PS5 players, making me and everyone else question why they hadn’t done that at launch as that would have made the package far more appealing.
As for PC players though, they were once again ignored. Red Dead Redemption 2 is playable on PC, but for some reason Rockstar has ignored cries from fans asking for a PC port of Red Dead Redemption.
Could this little sliver of information indicate that Rockstar are finally going to bring the beloved western to PC? Let’s hope so.
