Was Summer Game Fest a bust or did it hit? – WGB
The main portion of Summer Game Fest is now in the bag, with Xbox and Ubisoft to follow on Sunday and Monday respectively. Geoff Keighley hit the stage to present a variety of games, from the new Lego Horizon Adventures (that’s coming to Switch!?) to some Alan Wake 2 news.
Before the show though, Keighley did try to set expectations, even saying that his own excitement level was an 8/10. On a Twitch stream, he said: “There will be, definitely, new announcements, but the show is largely focused on, I think, existing games that have new updates for fans.”
So what did you think of the show? Did anything catch your eye, or were you left feeling underwhelmed? Vote below, and drop a comment on what you liked and didn’t. Personally, I’m actually really hyped for a little indie game called Wanderstop about a fighter trying to leave that life behind by working in a little tea shop. It reminds me of Legends & Lattes, a fun fantasy novel about an Orc who leaves adventuring behind to open a coffee shop.
But the biggest surprise? No Hideo Kojima making a really long speech. Is that even allowed?
